Engineering Department
Civil Engineer
Responsibilities include hands-on designing, planning, scheduling, and constructing of public and private development projects; management of engineering and CAD staff, interacts with clients, oversees preparation of project contract documents including conceptual plans, detailed plans, specifications and cost estimates, manages project cost accounting including billings to clients, oversees the performance of complex drafting, performs field review of projects, establishes design and construction budgets and schedules for each project and monitors adherence to them, signs and seals engineering documents under his/her responsible charge.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Florida professional registration (PE), a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial and residential land development projects along with experience in utilities (water distribution and wastewater collection), hands-on design and project management experience, strong mathematic and analytical skills, understanding of consulting business with excellent communication skills. Position location: Venice. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Structural Engineer
Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, conducting, coordinating, and directing all phases of structural design of projects including designing of structures using concrete, steel, masonry, wood and timber; including rehabilitation of existing buildings and will include performance of field review tasks during construction. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in structural engineering, Florida professional registration (PE), a minimum of 5 years experience in private practice structural design and project engineering with experience in low rise, concrete, steel, masonry, wood and timber and a working knowledge of AutoCAD, structural engineering/analysis software, Microsoft Office, and Microstation with excellent communication skills. Position location: Venice. Salary is commensurate with experience.
