PERMITTING

DMK has been serving Southwest Florida for 40 years. We are aware of the varying processes from agency to agency and routinely educate ourselves on changing regulations that impact the permitting requirements and procedures. By supplying all necessary information the first time around we save our clients time and money.

COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE

EXPERIENCE

DMK has been very successful working in coordination with and obtaining the necessary approvals and permits from regulatory and government agencies such as:

EXPEDITING

DMK is able to expedite the permitting process by using three strategies:

  1. Relationships

  2. Efficiency

  3. Planning

The relationships we have built with our local counties is irreplaceable. We have learned exactly what is necessary for permitting to avoid the pitfalls of Requests for Additional Information (RAI’s). Additionally, all our engineers are experienced with the permitting processes of local, state and federal agencies. This gives them the ability to design in ways to professionally navigate the permitting process.

Each project we undertake is managed by one of our principals and by our senior project managers who, in addition to their unsurpassed technical qualifications, have a unique understanding of the diplomatic skills needed to navigate projects through the permitting maze. It is these skills, complimented by our experience and our dedication to keeping up with changes in permitting procedures that guarantees us to complete a project in the most expeditious and cost efficient manner possible.

Engineering Firms and Permitting

The importance of having our engineers handle your project permitting is quite literally, all in the details. Of course, there are the easier permitting requirements that are standard to certain projects, but then there are special exceptions that require our engineers to apply for permission to deviate from written codes and regulations. Regardless of the reasoning for the permit, there are several details, preliminary studies and work that needs to be completed first before submitting  permitting applications. Special exceptions may also require our engineering professionals to appear before governing bodies to explain their design and need for conditional use permits.
