Civil Engineer, Engineer Intern, or Senior Designer

DMK Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer, Engineer Intern or Senior Designer with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land development services. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited University with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or possess extensive design experience related to civil, utilities, land development or structural detailing. Licensure as a Professional Engineer or the capability and desire to achieve this goal is preferred.
 
Ideal candidate will have experience in land development and public works projects and possess excellent design skills in site design, grading, drainage, stormwater design, experience with construction document preparation and specifications, street and utility (water and sanitary sewer) design. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
 
The candidate will manage and execute civil design projects from concept through construction process with the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments. This position will work with Professional Engineering staff under the direction of the VP of Engineering.
 
Pay Scale: Commensurate with experience, skill level and responsibility. The position will be eligible for paid health insurance, 401k participation, long term disability insurance, liberal PTO and holiday pay.
 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study OR suitable substitute experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in civil design beyond the degree OR 10+ years of experience in the field.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and related modeling software.
  • Capable of attending and engaging in meetings with clients, owners, contractors, etc. in a positive and productive manner.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a demonstrated efficiency under prior employment or experience.
